Re: Importing. The Devil or Divine?

An very intelligently written piece, that looks at the reptile industry from both a businessman's and hobbyist's perspective. The two need to work in conjunction with one another to keep this hobby alive within the South African market. We need to grow the hobby together as a community of keepers. T...

Re: Whats with the cycle

I had some maiden unbred fat tails that did not undergo a chilling period last year that started to lay in July on their own accord. I did not chill or breed them because they where undersized but mother nature and them had another plan. Some laid consitently through the season without a single mati...

Re: New baby , don't know what it is.

Jungle/Aberrant patterned leopard geckos have a pattern that is different from the 'wild type' banded markings. Jungles have broken body and tail markings, and occasionally have 'circle back' patterns where the first body band is broken with a hollow circle of color showing through. The Jungle was f...

Re: New baby , don't know what it is.

Looks to me like a jungle patterned normal leopards gecko. It could very well end up with clean body with limited spotting making it express a lot of yellow. You cannot get a gecko that is het carrot, which they most likely ment het carrot tail as carrot tail is a line bred trait. "She" is...

Re: AFT morph survey

Zulu’s are amazing looking geckos but fetch a hefty price of between $650 for a het and $1800 for a Zulu from The Urban Gecko who developed them.

Would be interesting to know who has one.

Re: Bull frogs and permits?

Would it be possible to obtain a permit if you were to buy them or would you have to obtain the permit first because of their TOPS status?
