I would like to ask some help with a project I am busy with. Does anyone know if there is a reference book/website or other that gives you the direct translation of a scientific name? Most of us know that dendroaspis polylepis is a black mamba. If it is directly translated, it means "large scal...

Fatality by Vine snake?

As far as I know, there has never been a recorded fatality by thelotornis capensis. Does anyone have contradictory information?

Great stuff! Quick question: as I hail from the Lowveld, I do not come into contact with philothamnus n. a lot. How do you tell natalensis natalensis and natalensis occidentalis apart?
