Re: My First Captive Bred Babies

@ Fooble, i used a 3 ft fish tank, covered the out side with polystyrene, put two bricks in there laying on there side, i then filled the tank with water, the water was just below the high point on the bricks, then i used a braai grill sort of thing and layed it on the bricks, ready for the tubs to ...

Re: problematic hatchlings

Heinz, when i use to have problem feeders, i some times, use to take ''Dead" new born pinks, put them between 2 pieces of paper and squash the pink, then throw the pink in with the snake and leave it over night. It use to work well for me.

Try that and see what happens.

Goo luck

Re: My First Captive Bred Babies

I agree with BV there. When i was younger and i had my first clutch ever of normal corns, they all had hatched instead of one, i was very impatient and by the 2nd day, he still had not come out of his little slit, "i must admit" i forced the little guy out of his egg not knowing what would...

Re: My First Captive Bred Babies

@ Rishaad. Sunglow corns colours are more bright and intense, they also have no white pigmentation in them at all, but the thing that confuses me, is that when you get an amel motley, they also dont have white pigmentation in them. But im sure that the sunglow motleys are still brighter in colour th...

Re: How to determine the Sex?

Fooble, sorry i haven't heard of the tubing method before,id like to ask, how is it done? @ Heinz. Alot of people ''Pop" there baby corns, as it's quiet easy to do. Ask someone who knows how to do it and has done it before, to show you and from then on it's really easy stuff. But just remember ...

Re: Stoked - They finally did the Deed

Stunning babies. Yes the one little guy poking his head out looks to be an amel. The other one there looks like a ghost motley. Very very nice. Keep us updated on what all you get out.

Congrats man..

Well done Stretch, healthy looking babies you have there. The snake in the last pic, in the bottom right hand corner is really stunning, nice banded patterns.

Re: What the F%$#?

Haha Rage, i also saw this add and i couldn't believe it. This is why so many people do not like the whole "Hybrid" story, because there is so much inter-breeding it's unbelievable.

Re: growth rate

Hi Icarus.

I use to feed my hatchling corns every 5 days, 1 day old pinks for the new borns. As they start growing move up to 2 pinks each feeding time, then up the size of prey the bigger the snake gets.

Re: Boa's [Questions on breeding]

OK BV, so in other words you cant really prevent it? If all were deformed then it could of had something to do with me not having the right temps ect?

Now for the little ones to shed and then eat lol.
