Re: Can you guys tell me which species this is?

Not sure, just know it was exported from there to USA, so I assume it was either caught in Congo or somewhere relatively close by.

Re: Can you guys tell me which species this is?

It was exported out of Congo but I have no idea where it was caught. It puffs its neck up when it's aggitated, do all of the similar species do that?

Mentalis Care

I have a pair of these. What are the recommended temps and humidity? Mine are at 75-88F / 80% humidity in their tubs. Also does anyone know what their habitat is like as in desert or fields or?

Re: From USA, wanting to keep and breed an African Lizard

I checked on those and exports are already banned :( No new ones will come to the USA. Their future in my country is now in the hands of a few breeders who have them.

Re: Radiant Heat Panels?

Sorry to drag up such an old post but a radiant heat panel and oil radiant heater are two different things. Oil radiant heater increased ambient temperature for a room. Radiant heat panels create a hotspot for basking in a cage and also raise ambients inside the cage a little. They are great for peo...

Re: I need info on Reptile Breeding

I have an idea how someone could make money exporting to USA. Right now a lot of US breeders cannot reproduce African lizards very effectively. The flame bellied girdled lizard and armadillo lizards both command high prices. There is a good market for African, legitimate CB stock. I bet you could ma...

From USA, wanting to keep and breed an African Lizard

Hi I am from the Northern USA so keeping reptiles outside most of the year won't be possible. I really enjoy reading about African snakes and lizards and have decided I'd like to try to keep and breed an African lizard as a hobby. I'm looking for something that I will find interesting and that I hav...
