Re: Mossy Leaf Tailed Gecko - anyone?

They were around in 1998. Surprisingly they were sold for around R500 each. I have some photos of them somewhere. They are very easy to maintain and dont need a lot of heat, just high humidity.

Re: At last!! My new morph...

So you would rather sell patternless pairs? That's better than selling one patternless male and a bunch of normal females? Going overseas? you just got a golden handshake. Do you realise how many keepers would love to be in the position you are? You can set up yourself for the rest of your life if y...

Re: My new ones...

He will do the job, stop feeding him now and he will mate with every female you put him with. My males generally does not get food for 6 months of the year. And in the months they do get food, they only get one adult rat at a time. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b246/Chondropython/26032008437.jpg...

Re: New Baby

I have gotten many wild caught balls to eat first time around with the following method. Take a pot plant container, just big enough so the python when in a ball can have the sides of the container press against its body. Flip the container upside down and cut a round hole in the top as thick as the...

Re: I'm so stoked!!

They dont have to be removed. You can simply make an incision and drain it with a syringe.

Re: Anyone keep Uromastyx??

There is a guy I know in JHB that breeds quite a few of them every year. They have extremely strong jaw muscles and they love vegetables. Need to add a multivitamin as with any lizard. I preferred keeping mine under Mercury vapour lamps as this is a good source of UV as well as heat. I also had a se...

Re: Frilled Lizard not eating

Forget everything you have read on the internet. Frilled lizards need a basking site of up to 50 C. They live in the northern territory and new guinea. Usually low temperatures stop them feeding and a change in Light cycle. Most of my frillies eat once a week. People seem to think they can feed thes...

Re: Reptapet Sun Plus Uv Tube 10.0

Instead of guessing, why dont some of you get a UVa and UVb meter. Do some readings instead of making assumptions. Go and have a look at the exo terra web site. There is a video on there that explains the principles of light and heat when it comes to reptiles.

Try some Panacur. It a broadbase wormer so it covers most of your nasties. might be a good idea to take them to a reputable reptile vet to get wormed.
