Re: Whitelipped colour

Greetings!

He will keep the brownish/red stripe throughout his life, this never fades.

This is definitely a White-lip tree viper.

Well done getting him on pinks.

Re: Popes vs Whitelips

White-lips are sexually dimorphic and are easily distinguished between male and female, Males having a white with a red/brown stripe running down the entire lateral length starting on the lips and ending at the tail, females have none. Re: More fun with the D800

@aramata, Yeah agreed i only use Nikon lenses, the rest is a definite no go.

@monopeltis These pics were saturated on camera and not in post, i find that without a bit of saturation boost you get a very flat and dull looking photo, the saturation gives it more life. Thanks for the feedback.

More fun with the D800

Some pretty cool photos from around the way. All taken with a Nikon D800, most were taken through glass, except for the tortoise and the Nile croc, And most were taken with my 50mm prime. Enjoy http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/3963/dsc1122k.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us http://img585.imageshack....

Re: New camera test on Waglers temple viper.

Thanks Eyelash!

Im not 100% certain of the locality, Im sure it will be easier to pin once she's gone through her full colour change.
From the research iv done so far it's leaning towards Sabah Borneo.

Yeah as far as i know, Andrews the only other guy working with them, He might be able to give a better indication of their trade value. Anyway its pretty hard to get a decent photo of these guys, they are very erratic and twitchy, ill see what i can get next feeding. http://img209.imageshack.us/img2...
