So how would pest control deal with the situation?

Some people charge for call-outs or ask for a donation to cover their petrol and time. This guy is offering money to cover someones petrol and time to release on his property.

Ok, problem sorted. I spoke to Charlie and asked him to keep a record of who brings him what, and he must request permits from those donating. He agrees.

Even if the person who sold the snakes have permits then it would still be illegal as the recipient must apply and be granted the permits before he receives them. Come on man. I can't see why it should, unless people donating the snakes do not have the permits to do so, but it's still a good cause I think, and the snakes will be well looked after there by the property owner and the staff.

I also don't think Charlie will be asking people to see their permits either.

Hi, I just got a call from someone in Kyalami who desperately wants Brown House snakes RELEASED in his property as he has a huge rodent problem. So if anyone gets any on callouts or has any unwanted, there is a R250 reward per snake. He is after about 10 snakes in total. I am trying to persuade him ...

I recently contacted Natcon about a Pet Shop that I thought was smuggling indigenous snakes, and I am still waiting for a reply... Don't hold your breath!
