Thanks guys :) Sad if all would be males but nice snakes they are anyway. Thanks for warning, i´ve checked them out and should be fine. The snakes in the picture are the same, was a bit worried when the mouth was like that but it was pretty nervous at the moment and actually tried to give me a kiss ...

Indeed a pity as people here aren´t that much interested in Vipera.
I figured that 200-300€ for the pair wouldn´t be a total robbery (i have no idea what prices are outside Finland)

I thought about giving the mice some lizard-scent (although didn´t think about doing it that way, eventhough your idea would propably work much better) but i neither like the idea of killing those. I do like lizards aswell. Maybe i´ll try awhile forcefeeding and if it doesn´t start eating on it´s ow...

Thanks :)

These are still pretty nervous but it´s easing up all the time. I got 3 of these, length +-1m. I had an old female (my first venomous snake) but she passed away some time ago and then i knew that i´ve got to get more of these. Now i just have to sex these :S

It´s a shame that it´s illegal there :(
Let´s hope that "trend" doesn´t spread here..

Vipera are nice indeed :)
I´m only keeping 1.1 V. wagneri as i´m trying to breed them if they hilbernate succesfully etc.., raddei are for sale.

I´ve noticed that with 2 individuals of 5, 1 which i have to forcefeed has done it 3 times. Because they were in a empty plastic container at those moments, i thought that it could also act as a warning.

I would be interested to know in what conditions have you kept them and more about feeding (have you got those to accept mice pinkies or what did you feed them?). Just got me 1 of these and i´m pretty excited about it :)

Yeah, we had a scare that there was a small red tick in front of the hind leg in the picture, but I found an identical piece of brick-red bark, that I have as substrate, on a leaf, so I'm assuming it's that. I've looked the animals over twice, finding nothing unusual. Will keep my eyes open, since ...

Thanks guys and thanks for moving this into the right section :) I´ve read that D. scabra mimics Echis species in behaviour. Eventhough i´ve noticed that Cerastes cerastes and even A. desaixi do the same S-movement to create a warning sound, the sound that these ones make are much clearer and sharpe...
