Re: SOS Reptile Expo

Okay, from what I have read on the net so far some of it is very conflicting, even talking to some guys at the expo was very conflicting. So far it is 2 young one in their big cage, with daylight bulb, exo terra 10 uvb bulb and the 40watt night light, blue one from them as well, today they are both ...

SOS Reptile Expo

Well, since I moved to Gauteng, my wife got here and got her few spiders and her collection is slowly growing, I still love boas mainly. This weekend at the SOS Reptile Expo we decided we want a few beardies, so I got a cage and filled it with a very white sand that the guy recommended, think it was...

Green Iguana head turns black...?

Hi, recently a woman phoned me about her G. Iguana, if it is not in his vivarium then it has great colours when it is cruising in her home, but when she puts him back in his viv. for some reason his head starts turning black. The little one is about 2 and 1/2 years of age, and about 40 to 50 cm if I...

Minimum temperature for G.Iguana?

Well if global warming is not a myth then it might explain why in July I can walk around in shorts and a T Shirt, but all of the sudden our temperatures drop below 0... Quite a bit below zero, and my largest Iguana ignores the Pads, Lights etc. He would choose a place where he wants and he just 'chi...

Re: Snake guide

It took amazingly long before anyone started it...

But I have to say I like it, but it still needs some refinement.

Re: Skydiving Gecko

Ready, Aim, Gecko ATTACK!!!

I would not mind seeing a few people that fall victim to them, could be very good for my blood pressure and laughter glands.

Would really like to tree snake vs unsuspecting little girl :D

Re: !!!! ANTS !!!!!

I believe the quantity will make a difference, if it was a few ants I strongly doubt it will cause anything.

Enough ants on the other might, just keep an eye on him for any strange behaviour.

Re: My 3 Wild Friends ~ mean & green

So no real "special" meds needed? Simple Betadene would do the trick?

My 3 Wild Friends ~ mean & green

I have one Iguana his body is about 40cm give or take, his previous owner did not get along with him, but strangely enough from the 1st day I had him with me he was a calm as can be. Tamed him so well that he will actually eat out of my hand [ Yes, there are occasional bites of flesh as well, but no...
