Re: Dicronorrhina derbyana layardi

Nicely done Wesley. I have only seen two of these, and I must say they are probably my favourite beetle.

Re: Bushbaby help needed URGENT

It died yesterday due to severe internal bleeding; poor little guy was throwing up blood and was gone within an hour of my last message.

Bushbaby help needed URGENT

Hi guys I am back from the bush for a few days(will post an update later). It also seems...

Saying goodbye...for now

Those who know me might have noticed my absence over the past few weeks; this was due to computer problems and telkom's cables being stolen leaving me with no internet connection, and a host of other factors and problems etc. I am leaving in ten days to go work in the bush getting into anti-poaching...

Re: Black mamba venom better painkiller than morphine

Interesting to say the least. I am no expert on venoms or toxins, but I would also be really concerned about it's use as a painkiller. Is there anything they can do to make it less dangerous?

Re: What a suprise........Philothamnus Semivariegatus

Outstanding images MrG. A pity you didn't get the "neon" blue tongue in the last shot, one of their features I like most, but still an amazing shot though.

Re: Vrou sterf 2 weke ná spinnekop haar byt

I have been bitten by a sac spider on my knee before. It is really important to keep the bite site clean to prevent secondary infections etc. Mine didn't hurt that much due to the necrosis; I can stil remember that after a while I could "play" with the cartilage in my joint with an earbud ...
