Re: Nashpuff

Maybe I´ll try this pairing this year again. Here are some new pictures...he´s not so nice looking at the moment because he is ready to skin. I will make some further pics after skinning. http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/81/796081/1280_3633636266613461.jpg http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/al...

Re: Nashpuff

Delayed a short update. The Nashpuff is doing fine. He is no round about 90 cm long. Some weeks ago he got his new terrarium...120x60x60. I keep him at ~26-32 degree. He prefers a temperature arround 29/30. Humidity is low...I spray everyday a little bit so he then starts drinking. If he is fertile....

Re: Nashpuff new infos

Oh yes...she can really "puff up" when she is pissed of...I think over 50% of her size. He he ok you mean it in that way...no...I don´t "spoil" her with some nice mice goodies ;) She´s getting her food like my other snakes...rather a little bit less as other youngster. Young elap...

Re: Nashpuff new infos

I know the problem in snake keeping (especially Bitis) and fatty degeneration. And I´m definitely not the person who feeds his snakes to much and within a few days. The snake is not so fat as it seems on the pics. I´ll try to make some further pics in the next time. Just now I´ve take a look at my f...

Re: Nashpuff new infos

It´s a cross between Bitis arietans x Bitis nasicornis.

Here is the original Thread of the last year:

Here are some updated infos about the Nashpuff. She is still growing  and gets more and more nasty. Now she is 1 ½ years old and you can see in which direction she develops...clearly a arietans. By this time she is ~70cm long and is still doing fine. She gets more and more strong colored. Let´...

Re: Surprise surprise

Thanks @all A little question...is it really so hard to breed russelii? I´m a little bit wondering. @justinvBreda The adults are not really aggressiv. In the cage they are calm and not interested what is going on in front of their cage. It´s not hard to handle them, too. They stay still on a hook. B...

Surprise surprise

Yesterday after I´ve take a look in my several cages I was really amazed when I looked in my Daboia russelii russelii cage. My pair is now 3 years old. I don´t have seen any copulation or that the male has been interested in her. She was not noticeable at all. Normal behaviour and not so a bigger si...
