Thanks Everyone.

Ruan, they prefer sandy soils but I have found them on plains covered with alluvial gravel as pictured here. They burrow in the soft sandy soils though

Northern Boomslang - Dispholidus typus viridus.

I photographed this boomslang from Hluhluwe. I removed it on a call out from Umhluhluwe Safaris where it was found in their workshop.

Common Barking Gecko - Ptenopus g.garrulus - West of Port Nolloth - Copyright of David Maguire Barking Geckos live in sandy habitats. Froot, Reed frogs and many others get quite tolerable if you take your time photographing them while calling and even call when the light shines on them.

It looks like the Peringueys skink. It was described in 1888 and somehow just disappeared of the scene. . .
