Yes i thought so too. Please clear this up for me, Is the Angolan Python the same species as the Anchieta Dwarf Python from Namibia? Is it a Sub-species??? or a totally different species. Quintin


Same species found in northern Namibia and Southern Angola... more common in Angola

If you read this from there..... Ille de Luanda has some nice herping..... you can follow the tracks in the dunes.....Just keep your passport on you at all times as the local army will want a big bribe for any excuse they can get

4 or 5 years to reach adult size but then they continue to grow seemingly as long as they live just at a much slower pace... at least six times their coiled area is recomended as a minimum

Ringers have a normal paterns but a blotch of white... usually near the tail...Sometimes this makes a white ring around the snake...hence the name ringers.... some het pieds are rigers but not all ringers are het pied..... basically the genetics of ringers is not very well understood at this stage
