Re: Corn Noobie

Thanks all It's difficult to get mice in Potchefstroom. I can get pinkies from the Animal Test Lab on campus, but they don't sell fuzzys or hoppers. I have 3 other suppliers too. 1 of them almost NEVER has stock on mice and the other 2 never have fuzzies or hoppers. 1 of them ONLY sells frozen. If I...

Re: Corn Noobie

Thanks Chantel
I'lll have them seperated as soon as possible. I'll still power feed, but won't put her with the male again before she's 3 years old.
Question: How do I check if she's passed all teh eggs? If she hasn't, how do I help her?
Thx again

Corn Noobie

Hi All So, I'm still very noob at owning Corns. I have a female albino and a male Smartie. Lucy (the female) delivered some sluggs about 2weeks ago. I almost freaked! But thanks to my wife, I now understand what sluggs are. Not really sure exactly what it means though. My question is this: Is she re...

Re: Grey rat snake problem

Hey all. Thank you for all the advise. Sorry for the late reply. We thought the little grey was doing okay...untill now. 1st things first: I don't like the idea of force feeding, but if done right it may save the snake. We liquidized 3 pinkies and force fed 10ml. The next week our little grey ate on...

At the time she was a bout 3 months old. she would be about 9months old now. She has eaten on and off for the past few months, but she hasn't g...

Re: Grey rat snake problem

Nope...she's a perminent part of the family now. And we love her. I still remember the 1st feeding. She almost struck at me after eating! That was scary. It seems snakes don't like being disturbed after eating. I have to because I feed mine outside their cage. But boy do they get angry and anxious. ...

Re: Grey rat snake problem

Hey everyone Sorry for being so distant. We've really been quite busy. Here's a quick update on or little Grey. She finally started to eat about 2weeks after our last post. We had to force feed her. For those of you that think it's dificult and scary - it really isn't. The worst part is liuqidasing ...

Re: Force feeding - What is right?

What if you grind up a lot of pinkies, dry them (to form a powder), put the powder in a capsule, and then you can store it in `n cool, dry place until needed?

Just a thought..

Re: Grey rat snake problem

Eish! The vet guy said it was probably not even that bad of a thing.. And the problem is, we don't know the history of the snake before we got her.. so that's a huge issue. We don't even know if the guy told us the truth... like, maybe he dropped her at one stage..? Well, hopefully we can deliver he...
