Re: New Echis Coloratus

Im very careful when handling him, only use hooks with lots of free space to move. I dont get within a meter of him. I also read a lot of posts on first hots and also found there isnt a good first hot so I got this little guy and will keep him and learn what I can from him :)

Healthy Ball Python size and weight

Hey everyone

I have a ball python, he is about 4 years old, around 1.3m long and when I weighed him 3 days ago he weighs 1525grams.
Is this a healthy size and weight for a ball python?

Thank for the replies

Re: Proposed Gauteng legislation

Is there any organisations in South Africa that fight for animal ownership in South Africa? In America I know of PIJAC http://www.pijac.org/

What will it take to form an organization like this to voice concers in a controlled manner and fight for owner rights?

Re: I'm so angry right now...

I also had an incident like that this year, was in a nature reserve and the garden boy came and called me to show me something, turns out he had found a python in the garden and decided it would be a good idea to kill it with the shovel. I was furious, firstly because it was a non-venomous snake pos...

Re: Your pain pics...

So here are 3 pics of my hands after I fell cycling home from a friends at night. I didnt see a speedbump and knew it was there, so I started braking and as I hit it, front wheel locked up and I went over the bars. What I learnt, wear gloves when cycling.

Re: When are people going to learn?

Peoples ignorance around snakes still amaze me... I hate how they kill snakes for no reason, even on farms there is no reason to kill them as we are actually in their environment.

Guess we cant change what they did, but can try to educate them.
