Panther Chameleons in winter

Hi! Been a while since I posted anything here! I keep my Panther Cham outside 100% of the time during summer, but I've always been concerned about winter. On doing some reading I've seen that Madagascar's winter temps are very similar to ours so it would be almost true to his natural habitat (apart ...

Re: New Panther Chameleon - Need some advice

Snake Kid,

UV light isn't efficient through glass, if you're keeping your Cham inside, whether it's in front of a glass window or not, you always need to supply him with a UV bulb. 5.0 Tropical. I had some advice from another forum and just passing it on to you.

And thanks for your reply. :)

Hi everyone, I got myself a Panther on Saturday! Super excited about it! I'm at work just counting the minutes left before I can get home and look at him again! I have been told about all the various lighting and heating etc, but I want to keep my little guy outside, where he can get natural UV. I h...

Re: breeding and price

Hi! Ignore them. This is a place where people help one another, not criticize and poke. If you do some googling you should be able to find a few breeders. Not specifically in the area you mentioned but they would definitely be able to answer your questions and even forward you to someone in your are...

BIIIIG sigh of relief!

I have been struggling with my 3 Ball Pythons this year. 1. Normal female usually eats very well but has shown less and less interest in the past few months. 2. Spider male usually eats well but hasn't responded well to food either lately. 3. Normal male stopped eating in March this year. Although I...

Electricity Bill!!! #%$&*%@#

Hi everyone, There has been a topic about this but it dates back to 2008 so I think i'll start a new one. I just moved in to my own apartment. My landlord sent me the electricity bill history and it's never gone over R500. This is the first month I've had to pay for my own (I've only been in my plac...

Re: Getting rid of flies

This has been busted on mythbuster, so it might not be factual. When I was in Mozambique, the lodge I stayed at had lots of plastic bags filled with water hanging around the lapa and the food area to deter the flies. I remember thinking it was a genius idea because there were no flies around those a...
