Re: Just got myself a Brazillian Rainbow Boa

Btw. Her shed box has a cut out entrance which you cant see from the camera angle. I replace her hide with that tub. I don't trap her in a lil white box for a week :P

Re: mold???

Hey guys, my lil lady shed last night so I took some pics. Decided it was more appropriate to post them in the old topic where I should have posted some ages ago. If you'd like to take a look how she's doing now check here http://www.sareptiles.co.za/forum/viewtopic.php?f=134&t=25561&p=22605...

Re: Just got myself a Brazillian Rainbow Boa

Almost a year late but I guess better late than never! Sorry for the delay, 2011 was quite an eventful year. On with the pics. Hope you enjoy :) Pre shed approx a week ago ( I made her shed box a little too wet, but it's so damn hot it dried out fairly quick, usually I just lightly mist it then main...

Re: mold???

Hey man Yes she's the one from that shop. Thanks she's doing great! It took roughly 2 months of visits to the vet. Shabir is a legend for sorting out her eye caps and it didn't cost me much at all. Everyone thought she was likely going to lose her eyes including BV when I took her to the expo. Happy...

Re: mold???

For my BRB I cut out all humidity all together. It's a pain in the ass. I keep her water on the cool side of the tank. When she goes into the blue I replace her hide with a shed box with a cut out entrance. Half filled with damp spaghnum moss half on and half off the heatpad (unless it's a hot summe...

Re: New member posts

Hey guys, just got back from Romania on the 15th so this is my first time logging since my last post. Anyway I took a look at the darwin topic that sparked off this one. Man I never imagined it got that bad! I thought this post was made about a couple of forum trolls, not a 25 page long thread. I'm ...

Re: New member posts

Well the best way to deal with retards is to make a spectacle of them imo. Enjoy it for the entertainment value. One of the gaming forums I use does just that. It's basically a forum designed for intelligent discussion of game mechanics. Retard posts get sent to a subforum called "the dung heap...

Re: Please ID this Green Snake (Nelspruit)

BTW -> http://www.venomstreet.com/images/Past%20Snakes/GMamba2.JPG I don't see how we can rule out a Green Mamba given the picture quality. Maybe that's just due to my inexperience. Re: Please ID this Green Snake (Nelspruit)

I hear what you guys are saying. But then going back to one of my other comments, doesn't this snake look longer than a meter? Both suspected species throughout this post don't get over a meter long according to the literature...

Re: Please ID this Green Snake (Nelspruit)

Looks like a Green Mamba to me. According to my field guide the Eastern Green Snake only gets just shy of 800mm long. This one looks over a meter long to me? The Green Water Snake is also supposed to reach a max length of less than 700mm.... While the Green Mamba gets just shy of 1.5m or Boomslang j...

Re: If you were terminally ill and would rather go to a bite

Unfortunately no. Only annoying kids that bash on the venomous snakes cages in the hopes of a reaction and parents who let their kids run around venomous snake cages with stools in their hands. Signs mean nothing and despite my warnings they dont seem to care much... I think they'd make excellent ca...

I think we are all relieved at that. Forum posts have resembled drunken religious discussions on occasion.
