Re: BCI / Dumeril's Breeders in Western Cape?

Bjorn at Reptile Garden may have some later on this year or early next year.

Otherwise speak to Heidi on the forum, she may have some stuff that she can fly to Cape Town for you.

Re: Rack system and Cape Nature Captivity Permit

I used racks for quite a while and I had my Captivity permit issued. Take David Justus as an example. All his ball pythons are in racks. Even Brendon Venter, all his Ball Pythons are in Racks. There are countless guys that keep ball pythons that house their snakes in racks and have passed inspections.

Re: Transport and Captivity Permit frustration

Wait for it... Screw permits. Perhaps I will take them seriously when they are not so narrow minded and opposed to the hobby. And when they take their jobs seriously and actually start doing their jobs, properly. I couldn't agree any more. I only seem to get any transport permits for them when I ap...

Re: Rack system and Cape Nature Captivity Permit

Those are simply guidelines.

Certain keepers locally with very large collections keep most of their snakes in Racks.

Re: Rack system and Cape Nature Captivity Permit

Generally Cape Nature doesn't have a problem with racks as long as the tub isn't too small.

Many of the keepers in the Western Cape make use of racks.

My young Rockie

Here are a couple of shots of my little buddy. Hes CBB from Bjron's stock; and about a year and a bit old. I didn't opt for power feeding him but rather spent time "interacting" with him and feeding him on a weekly basis. I slowed down feeding during winter and am beginning to feed him at ...
