For now I think you should try finding a smaller basking spot. Go to a good hardware store and get a 20w spot.

what are the temps in the cage? That basking spot seems very hot and it looks like the beardie is hot in the cool side too.

Herping in Stellenbosch

I've been in Stellenbosch for almost two weeks now and I'm still finding my way around. I'm wondering if there are any people here that are as keen as I am to go scratching for goggas or wether there are any herp clubs or associations around here.

In that case I'm very proud of my staffie. She's protected me from almost everything, cats, francolines, monitors,monkeys, butterflies and some skinks but not a snake yet! ;) haha (you might get what I ment with my previous reply)

It's just hard to find a buyer for all the snakes in a weeks time. So for now I've managed te get the friend to look after them till I can find buyers or till he maid up his mind what he wants to do.
