A drop in temperature could be the cause for her not eating. Try putting a small heating pad against one of the cages sides and see if that helps.

Sorry to hear that she didn't make it. The cause would most likely have been insufficient humidity or hydration.

Don't know of any breeders in the Cape, but you will be able to have some sent down from Gauteng or KZN as long as you sort permits out.

Unless he can give you a proper name for them or a picture to be identified here i don"t think it would be a good idea to do the trade. As fredsmith said if it is an Opistophthalmus specie it would be illegal to keep.
