Black Slugeater

Has anyone encountered a black slugeater, a couple of years back a mate of mine caught one in Hermanus and I didn't think much about it until now must be the old age ...
anyways it was completely black but more on the matt black side with a black mouth ....

Well they are back fanged and although the venom has no effect on humans , if you're allergic to bee's I'd avoid trying to get bitten just to be on the safe side, but I agree with Amphibian as they are basically Harmless

Give the Warm water soak a try , it could be a variety of factors, but do that first and see if it helps

Id suggest saoking your boa in warm/luke warm water in a tub for 20minutes or so make sure there is only enough water to cover the snakes body so it can breathe easily and keep a eye on it, should help
