Re: spitting cobra

Release the snake ASAP bud! If you can get those eggs onto some moist vermiculite or even toilet paper for now, put them in a tub with a few small air holes. I have seen eggs in worse condition hatch provided quick action is taken now. Be careful with them and place them exactly in the same position...

Ok then if they are that highly venomous then why do we not have antivenom in SA? And why has no one died from this snake before? As far as I have seen, on this site especially of people being bit all that happens is extreme pain, swelling and maybe some complications with your liver. Not trying to...

A lot of folk believe that the offspring are mules and therefore cannot breed, but some actually can breed quite successfully.

The best thing to do is to probably ask her if you can take the snake home with you. You will also have to help her with her set up. Soak the snake in warm water for like 30 minutes. This might help with the impaction, but I am more concerned about the bubbles, mouth and possible RI, so the soaking ...
