Re: Establishing Cape Reptile Club/Society

I believe making it well organised and running it well should get members and get us recognised. Will definitely include at least the entire Western Cape! I like the idea about chapters, wherever there is enough members a chapter can be set up. I also think there might be some interesting politics b...

Establishing Cape Reptile Club/Society

Hi All In the light of recently dissatisfaction regarding Cape Nature Permits and procedures I am realising that there is need for a non-profit organisation to act on behalf of its members regarding disputes with Cape Nature. There is also the need for a club to address any concerns regarding genera...

Re: Escaped snakes News24 article

Johannesburg - The two large Lavender Albino Reticulated Pythons that went missing in Gallo Manor have still not been found. Re: Escaped snakes News24 article

Yes there are some new appointees that are afraid of snakes and some do not want to handle reptiles but at least they are responding to your application. Not a sensible statement. If someone that is afraid of snakes (or can't even identify it) arrives to "inspect" your snakes I do not reg...

Re: Atheris ceratophorus (Usambara bush viper)

They shed like normal... the shed comes off the "horns" - superciliary scales - the same as it comes off the eyes. If there is a bad shed and skin remains on the "horn" without being removed it can permanently damage the superciliary scales. I do not want to be the guy trying to...
