Re: Pneopus, Afroedura, Pachydactylus...

Absolutely stunning! I love the colouration of your P. Kochi ! Your collection must be quite a formidable one?! My collection is not that big, but over the years I have selected the species I like the most. I still want some additions but I am limited in space- and money, of course. P. rugosus woul...

Re: Pneopus, Afroedura, Pachydactylus...

Rugosus is probably the pachy species mostly sought after here. A sexed pair would cost a minimum of 800-1000 euros/1200 US $.
You can send some to me for free, I wouldn't mind

Re: Pneopus, Afroedura, Pachydactylus...

A friend spent time there looking for some in order to get some new pics for a book but he came back with some nice habitat shots instead :)

Would that friend of yours mind sending me those habitat pics?

Cryptactites peringuey

Hello guys, Apart from a few paper publications it appears there are absolutely nothing on the Internet about these tiny geckos living in saltmarshes near Port Elizabeth. I would really like to see pics of them if anyone here lives in this area, as well as pics of their habitat. Any notes on observa...

Re: Some Hamm purchases: Hemidactylus brooki+Gehyra marginata

Gehyra marginata only eat fruit very occasionally, their main diet is composed of large insects, such as adult black crickets or subadult madagascan roaches...they are more like tokay geckos as regards food ;)

Re: New addition -pair of fan-foot geckos (Ptyodactylus guttatus

Yes, sorry, I did not notice answers before.

Of course these animals need parasites treatment, deworming them is a minimum. This of course should be done under vet control. They tend to look skinny but to a certain extent it is a feature of the species so it should not be taken as a worry. ;)

Re: New addition -pair of fan-foot geckos (Ptyodactylus guttatus

Yours is P. guttatus for sure. They are mainly imported from Egypt and Israel. UVB is a MUST. Yes, I know, it is a nocturnal species. But for having discussed with several keepers, only those who use 8.0-10.0 UVB lights have success in keeping and breeding them. My pair is in a 40x40x50 cm high viva...

Re: Hamm March 14th 2009- loads of pics

Thorrshamri was there a wide variety of venomous snakes available at this show? No. Normally this edition was supposed to be without any venomous species, but the staff changed their minds not long before the show. I have seen young Bitis arietans at one table and a WC Dispholidus typus , that s al...

Haha Rolandslf, well they are called "leaf-tail geckos" which is quite appropriate too!
