Re: Something eating my rats ears

I had a supplier of rats and mice a couple of years ago that regularly treated her colonies with carbadust. The problem is, she sold them on a large scale(+- 2000 a week) to petshops, and as far as I know, they never knew about the carbadust. My question is now: What effect will it have on the snake...

Re: luck of the draw

When they are that young they "think" everything is going to eat them.
Once they go over +- 1m they calm down, usually.
I have had a couple of boas like that, and they calmed down a lot after they exceeded 1metre in lenght.
Holding thumbs yours is the same.

Re: Mouldy Eggs

Sorry, meant to add as well that I have had mouldy eggs hatch without problems before.
The one egg was 3/4 black already by the time it hatched, the baby being quite healthy.

Re: Mouldy Eggs

I was taught that a healthy egg will fight off mould and infections naturally.
So if an egg has mould on it, I think it has to get rid of it by itself without outside help.
But I understand the urge to do something to help.
I just don't think moving the eggs too much is a good idea.

Re: Boa on her side!

Mine does it regularly as well, so no problem I think.
Seems to be when they are ovulating or already gravid.
I could be wrong, BV and BB should know more.

Re: My Boy

I don't really know how many they can produce BV. Maybe about 20 per week? On hindsight it might have been a bad idea to advertise the fact. But, I still have about 12 rabbits left in my breeding program, so I should be able to satisfy my own needs for the immediate future. And they breed, well, lik...

Re: My Boy

Pets Paradise in Pomona sold me rabbits for R15 a juvenile rabbit not long ago. The adults were going for R25 to R30 each. I have not bought from them in the last 2 months because I have a breeding setup of my own now, but am considering getting rid of them piece meal(excuse the pun) and just buying...

I was sent a link to this video and was wondering if they got the ID right?
