Re: Chipboard melamite

My burm enclosure was a 1800 long. I didn't cut, i used the standard lengths and joined altogether, although it does help having a radial.

With this I used 5mm glass. Was easy to transport, carefully and on the back seat as they were only a little over 900mm long.

Re: questions

Newspaper or corrugated cardboard, essentially with one flat and one corrugated side.
Seen one overseas breeder note imrproved movement and temprement results using the corrugated cardboard, corrugated facing up, with his boas.

Re: Corn snake scales turning white???

Also looks like rubbing to me due to the opaqueness. This does not look like what many are seeing in ball pythons with out of place solid white scaling.

Perhaps adjust enclosure items.

Re: Health issues burms vs retics

You will never know the outcome of temprement.
My male was placid as a dead duck, but the female became a real B**** and they came from the same clutch.

Tagged me a real good shot once but was generally just hard tempered.

Re: Chipboard melamite

You will have to calculate minus the thickness of the runners for top and bottom + and extra mm or two less when working out dimensions for glass height. Thats the basic gist of how I did mine back in the day. You can always ask the glass guys on the day to validate your calculations. This will also...

Re: Big problem!!!

I opt you go for your point 2.
If you cannot source a pre-built/manufactured incubator, build one.

Re: Health issues burms vs retics

If my burms weren't snakes, they would be pigs.
They never once skipped a beat.

I would love to try retics one day.

Re: Chipboard melamite

Good stuff. Best of luck, I found it quite rewarding when done.
Silicone where needed and you should be good to go.

Re: Chipboard melamite

Do you mean melamine?
If so this is a defacto std for many and works well.

Re: Health issues burms vs retics

First and foremost its going to come down to husbandry. Secondly where you buy, breeders are best where you can go and see how the parent snakes are kept, etc. this made all the difference when I bought. I dont do stores period unless I know the owner privately and know his/her collection. When I ha...

Hairy ID needed

Apologies for bad pic but was taken by someone else.
I'm just posting for my own interest and identification.

Unfortunately at this point the little guy had been forcibly passed on in life.

Re: Most Intelligent Snake

Something I think you won't go for and in my belief the smartest of snakes are Mamba's.
Just have to watch them to see that they have some level of higher thought process' going on, more than any other snake I know of.
