Shelf Liner as Substrate

Postby Lillypod » Fri Mar 01, 2013 10:06 am

Hey, has anyone ever thought of using non-adhesive shelf liner for substrate, especially in bearded dragon and leopard gecko cages? They come in many colours (apparently)... Any idea where I will be able to find?

Since I haven't gotten an answer yet I will try and get some and use it and see how it works. If it works well I'll add some pics of the cages I did with it.

I have used them before when I had Beardies, they were really good because I could wash and reuse them.
Some of them actually look rather nice but don't get the ones that have been treated as they have anti-fungal
and mould inhibitors that could be bad for your critters.

Thanks Primogen! I was really hoping to use them. I want to make my enclosures look pretty and be easy to maintain, I use mainly newspaper and paper towels now, but it looks really awful... You have any idea what shops may stock them?

Yip paper towels work well, but don't look good in my displays, I'll use it if I had a racking system. I will take a look thanks!
