I'm sure some of you noticed, ive been away from a month.

I've been at a game reserve called Selati, doing a game ranging course called eco-training. It was the most amazing experiance ever!!!!

Heres a couple of things that happened

One day we were tracking lions on foot, we walked for about 4 hours before we saw the 2 male lions. Once we saw them, we stood about 15meters from them and watched them for a bit while they were growling at us. We then decided to move off. While we were walking away we heard a noise behind us in the grass, we looked back and about 5 meters from us all you could see was a tail swaying in the grass!!! The one lion was stalking us.

On another day, we were having lunch under a huge sycamore fig tree, when a huge bull elephant charged us, We climbed onto a nearby rock and it stopped the charge at about 2meters away from us. Seeing a elephant close up was amsolutely amazing, Thats when you really see the a elephant has its sexual organs in its feet, coz if it stands on you, you f#*ked.

Another thing that was cool is the elephants came into camp about every second night, and they eat right outside you tent, imagine laying ina tent and all you can hear is branches breaking outside your tent and its tail sweeping against your tent.

I caught a couple of reptiles while i was there:
brown house snakes
red lips
mozam spitters
snouted night adders
egg eaters
puff adder
boom slang
vine snakes
velvet geckos
bibrons thick toed geckos

I will post pics later today or tomorrow.

Elapid in South Africa we have fast food. If we are not fast enough we are food.
