homemade collapsible snake hooks

I made these hooks from hiking poles. They're made of a really strong, light alloy - almost indestructable! You can flip boulders with these babies! They also have a huge reach (approx. 1.7m) at full extention and collapse to about 60cm.

The hook heads and poles were tapped so that they skrew in and hold real tight.

Very nice.

BV made some retractable ones a couple of years ago. Very similar in design. Not sure what he used for the "stick" part though.

How much weight can they hold?

Dude... I ordered some, as well as some probes, about 2 weeks ago, but because I'm overseas they said they'd need to get back to me about shipping costs...I emailed them again 2 days ago and still no reply!!!!

They're either very sloooowwwwwww or couldn't care less about overseas customers!!!
