Don't know of any breeders in the Cape, but you will be able to have some sent down from Gauteng or KZN as long as you sort permits out.
Please go have a look at my facebook page

Try getting hold of Bjorn, he runs Reptile Garden.

He might just have.

Importing is not difficult as long as you have all the correct paperwork.

If its from a reliable source you should not have to worry about it being safe or not.

Flying a gecko from Durban is only a few minutes quicker than flying one from Johannesburg. If packed correctly there is nothing wrong with the extra time it takes.

I put an add up for my fat tails 3 weeks ago (the add is up again) and a guy in the cape booked them.. I went through the process of making up the application for the transport permit etc. After everything said and done cape nature told him that African fat tails are black listed in the cape.. The annoying part is the stipulations they give to current owners of them.. You may not breed or sell them to any one in the cape they can only be exported to other provinces.. Any eggs that the owners get must be destroyed..

That sucks! Been trying to get me a pair for a while now and now this.

Cape Nature needs to wake up, bunch of ape's.

Will have to take a drive down to KZN or Guateng and bring me back some AFT haha

Cape Nature will have to inform everyone that keeps them to change the permit conditions.

I'm not totally convinced about them being blacklisted, Cape Nature is not totally unreasonable.

Well creasties do require a high humidity and cant take high temperatures(above 30c), the chances that they could become invasive is 0.
