Thanks

I say male as the bulge is quiet noticeable but I could be wrong, someone will probably confirm in a bit.

Looks female to me.

There is a bit of a bulge on picture #4 which caused me doubt, but looking at the lack of femoral pores I would say female.

Males also have funny little protrusions either side of the cloaca, which this one lacks.

Thanks for the feedback gents.
When it comes to leopard geckos I think I have it down.
But Giant Day Geckos I have absolutely no clue?

I want to get a mate for this one but I don't even know what I currently have.

When this chappy is on glass again I'll try take some better pics.
Do you know if there are any other indicators to help determine the sex because I'll try take shots of those areas as well.

Thanks again.

Wouldn't mind seeing some nice shots of him/her!

I would also say female. Like Westley said I don't see any femoral spores and the bulges behind the cloaca aren't that prominent.

I have taken on of your pictures and added a few things.

On the red line, males will have swollen femoral pores, often brown, orange or yellow in colour. Sometimes in adults there is a waxy secretion.

Obviously, where the yellow line is, you expect large bulges in males where the hemipenes are.

And lastly, where the arrows point, males funny little clusters of scales that look like there used to be a spine/protrusion. Sounds complicated, but you will see these immediately in males.

Having said all that, I am not too experienced in the genus, so take my advice with a pinch of salt.

Haha, it's a pleasure.

Seems like my subconscious played a trick on me; looking at my picture above, it looks like a cat's face with the red being the mouth, the yellow the eyes and the black the whiskers :smt005
