poor guy

Hi all

Thought this would interest some monitor fans.

I have been working with this species for over 2 years now and finally some action , only this poor guy needs some lessons

enjoy sorry the quality is so bad only had my phone handy

What kind of monitors are these?
They look like tree monitors (V.prasinus)?
If they are,then its the first ones i ve seen in SA.

Firstly Ubb, congrats on taking up breeding these, I know how difficult it is to breed monitors and am really chuffed to see some one actually breeding these... BIG UPS!!!!!

Secondly Ubb, plllllllllllllllllease put me first on that list for some babies :D :D :D :D :D :D

Shame, not very accurate with his "aim" now is he. I hope he gets it right soon. If you can breed these locally that will be one hell of an achievement. Holding thumbs.

Any more mating since? Ubb- could you tell us a bit about your set up for these monitors as this plays a big part in breeding this species?

Some Updates on the breeding ,
Managed to get 2 eggs from the 1 female ,
The female which is in the pic decided the eggs tasted better so better luck next year
still waiting for the other 2 females to hopefully drop any day now

ill post some pics of the setup when i get a gap its easier to show you than to try tell you

if you are serious about getting pls drop me a pm and ill add you to the list
although it looks like its gonna be awhile before there will be any for sale
