Postby Scoobydoo » Tue Jan 20, 2009 8:43 pm

Hi Guys,
I wonder if any one can help me???

I currently live up in jhb and have a year old Bosc Monitor!!! She is my best,
Very tame, i really love her alot and do not want to get rid of her!

Do you know of any companies that i can use to transport the lizzard and the tank i have built for it down to Cape town where i am moving too?

Any help will be great!!!

Thanks

Don't you need a permit for bosc monitors in the cape??

I usually use "transit @ airfreight" they are reliable and relatively cheap...

I think flying the lizard down will cost around 200-250 bucks,
but the tank i would say sell up here and buy new one or build new down there will work out way cheaper...

And my mom keeps wondering where her kittens are going?!!

cant keep boscs, no permit will be issued.

you can of course just drive it down, and not tell anyone, no one will be the wiser. when someone asks you what it is, just say a rock monitor, or it was sold to you as such, and you are none-the-wiser.

up to you.

You can over night the lizard with time freight. Cost will be just over R100.

I would not trust my lizard with Time Freight or any other company that deals in product more than live stock. Drive it down with you to me is the best idea.

I have dealt with time freight on a weekly basis for the past few years. I've never had issues!

Can chameleons also be flown down from jhb to capetown? What are the chances they would survive?

Slim, Chameleons stress extremely easily!! I wouldn't chance it with a chameleon, plus like discussed earlier its illegal.
