It is quite strange...
Not that I want to start an argument or anything, just a personal matter of oppinion...
I had a scroll down to the X-pet show this past weekend, & was quite surprized at the quantity of Gramostola Rosea on offer, & also the amount sold to the public...
In a sense it is a good way to get mr Anyboddy & mr Public, more involved in Herping etc. But We are all some type of bunny hugger, & most of us try to preserve a bit, either by what we keep, or what we know still lives in the wild... now my little mind tells me that mr Anyboddy doesn't always know the difference between a exciting new toy, & a true living animal, wich can lead to a diverse set of negative results...like selling a pair of king cobra's to a 15 year old, coz he can afford it... well of course he'll be told their poisonous & all...
Now if something happens, the wrong someone gets bitten with nasty consequence, or a few escapes, or Grandpa dies from a heart attack coz little johny threw his new PET "that doesnt BITE" on him coz its cool to scare people! etc.etc...
Headlines people, this could cause sh*t for us all!
Does a couple of bucks, justify the risks to us as true herpers,
or is it actualy all to the expence of the innocent creature?
Just a thought...
