Tarantula food in Rondebosch, Cape Town

Hi all,

I know there is Panorama pets in Parow where I can buy crickets for my Chilean Rose, however its a major drive every time I need to stock up on food. I was hoping there isn't someone in the Rondebosch (or closer than Parow) area that sells Crickets personally or knows of a store that does?

Crickets are also very expensiv in Western Cape. If it was me,I'd get me a decent batch of mealworms and make my own food. Mealworms are VERY easy to breed. I feed most of my Tarantulas and Scorpions basically for free.

I have always wanted to keep a Tarantula but have I missed something while being here in Afghanistan? Are they not illegal to keep in WC?

Have you looked at maybe buying feeder insects online ?
