Whats up with the scorpion hobby?

I use too keep scorpions when I was in high school and only recently started again with a pair of emperor scorpions. I must say they are now some off my favourite pets.
I just love the ability to pick up the emperor's with one's hands without the fear off being stung!
And as soon as I have finished moving to my new place I might get some more.

Interesting....do they become that docile?

Well I guess it depends on how you pick them. Never pick them up from above, rather let them walk onto the palm off your hand. I have picked mine up numerous times and have yet to be stung.
I would not recommend doing this with a more venomous scorpion though. Emperor scorpions are known for their docileness hence being a popular movie scorpion.
