What would a good starter be?

Hey guy's the other day I was looking at some scorpions in the pet shop and decided to get one :) . But I was woundering which one is a good starter I already know that all scorpions are dangerous and that you must not handle them too often so can anybody please help me? :smt004

go with emperor scorps. Definitly not uroplectis or parabuthis spp!

Thank's a lot dasie that's actually the one I saw at the pet shop but tell me how's their temperment and venom etc...

Emperors are pretty easy to keep and the venom is not medically significant which means you are not supposed to die. Just keep them under the right conditions and you will be fine. Dont handle these animals in any case.

Hey Mr Venom, been following your progress and it's nice to see. You arent allergic to anything are you...bee stings specifically?
1.0-reticulated python (Ripcord)
1.1-burmese pythons
5.5-brown house snakes
1.0-taiwanese ratsnake
3.8-BCI
1.1-corn snakes
1.2-rhombic skaapstekers
1.0-yellow rat snake

Thank you for the info BV I won't handle the animal and @jamster as far as I know my whole life I wasn't allergic but a couple of months ago I was stung by a bee and started to get rashes everywhere and I had trouble breathing but I'm not too sure if I'm allergic soo....

I see, if what ur saying is true then you should never handle a scorpion with your bare hands! People who are allergic to bee stings etc. can have worse reactions when it comes to scorpions and certain other venoms or poisons. Just a friendly warning :)
