Yeah I think anyone who had a peach tree used to do that. I got my hide tanned when my mom found out. They are not that common any more. I think less compost heaps to grow the cutworms in has also led to their demise.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
Those who are afraid to ask are ashamed of learning.
The grubs make excellent food for chameleons! Only use 2nd instar, as full size grubs have mandibles that could cause problems. Well worth breeding as an alternative food source.
