Visit to Australian Addiction Reptiles

Nicole and I recently did a trip out West in the USA to visit Yellowstone National park but along the way we also visited Dr. Justin Julander from Australian Addiction Reptiles in Utah. Our visit was quite well timed as the new Complete Childrens python book co-authored by Justin had just been released following the success of the Complete Carpet python.

Some gorgeous animals there. I think the A. perthensis must be my favourite.

Thanks Westley. Nicole's family are all in the states so we go there fairly often and I always try to visit other herp people who I have been in contact with while we have the opportunity. I have many more photos to add to this post but the gallery keeps loosing connecting saying the web site is busy or experiencing other problems??

He is best known for his black and white jungle carpets and you did not post a picture of them. Just keep trying to post and remember to reduce the pictures.

Finally managed to upload some more pics. I did not see Justin's black and white Jungles unfortunately, I wonder if he still has them in the collection. I was more interested in the Antaresia and M. metcalfei as you can see. Hope you enjoy these pics of some fine Aussie herps.

Gooday mate!

This Blue tonge looks like a Northern T. scincoides intermedia to me due to the orange flanks which is different to the common subspecies we have in the SA hobby.

It was nice to see these Blackheaded monitors V. tristis tristis which resemble the Ackie monitor that we know in SA herpetoculture

Justin was kind enough to let me take some of his animals outside to photograph under the sun.

You are very fortunate to be able to see these amazing US collections, a dream for me, especially seeing they are mostly Morelia and Antaresia.
Did you not get any pics of Zebras and other Carpets?

I thought if anyone you would appreciate this post Mitton, but unfortunately I did not take many pics of other carpet pythons except the ones already posted here. The bad lighting was also a factor.

That is absolutely awesome, must have been a great trip. Justin is a really cool guy, he helped me out with my Childrens when I first got him Having owned a Childrens and being a tad underrated, its nice to see all the Antaresia's
