Thanks Arno

What can I look for as a possible indication that the blood supply has stopped.

Thank You for the concern of others who commented.

Hard luck man.

Maybe try to hunt for a new male or get one on breeding loan for next year.

At least it is something and better than last. What makes you think it is the male, has the female given you better results before?

@ Mitton - I have no proof that it is the male, excepting that the female produces a high amount of eggs every time I breed her. On average between 14 and 20.
This season produced the highest amount of live babies, 5 in total, of which 2 died because they never managed to break out of the sack.

On a good note however, I checked on the babies before coming to work this morning, and Baby 3 has shed and that protruding Umbilical has disappeared, even the belly has closed up. My feeling is that I have ended up with 3 live babies.

I will not breed the female this coming season, but I will most probably send her to Byron on a Breeding venture next season, to test out my Male Deficiency Theory.

I can confirm that I have 3 healthy babies.
I will attempt to give them their first feed this coming weekend.
Pics will be posted on Monday.
