Hi,
I'm a french breeder of Malagasy boas and I have manys specimens coming from many bloodlines in Europe. I can say this mandarine phase is very uncommon and to my opinion the only specimens I know. The mandarine phase is based upon the color of the babies and as adults they can have different colors. That"s why it's very important to know how the parents look like. In 2009 one german breeder sold me 4 snakes from the same litter 3 males and 1 female. in December 2011, 2 males are green and white, 1 male is dark red black and the female is black and yellowish. It would be interessant to see pictures of this pair as babies.
