I must have got a one of a kind!
No aggressive behaviour what so ever and she is about 3 months old!
With gentle handling they should calm down!

I have seen very tame anacondas just like I have seen very tame retics. Dont let others put you off.

At the end of the day you are keeping specific snakes because YOU like them and not to please others.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Dont get me wrong. They are beautiful snakes. Some people just underestimate their capabilities sometime. I wouldn't mind getting some in the future again. But I would just like to have more time free to spend with them. I have posted updated pics of my retic female under another thread last night. She is also as tame as you can get, the male not quite there yet, but getting there.

They are still my most favorite snakes.
I have three at the moment two of them ± 1m( male and female) and another male of 2m+
And the first two I got from very young and are nippy every now and again but they are very relaxed.
The male I got was extremely and I mean extremely agro, after two months I started free handling him and since then he knows that I'm not food and stopped biting me ( its about "geduld" and respect of the snake )
Never think that they won't bite you because they will bite, so never try and show them off.
My thing about them is if they bite me, I buy them because that means the bite is out off the way and now you can build a relationship.

They are rewarding snakes to have, and it will seriously give you something to work towards.
