Come on guys!
Stop killing all the darn fairies!!!!
Nobody in this hobby feeds live animals as it is against the law. Don’t be stupid and give real hippies and fairies (Greenpiece/Peta etc) ammo.
Most of the guys in WC know about how they are going to cull the rabbits on Robin Island as these things are running amuck and basically taking over the place, well the other day I heard a PATE representative call this a genocide….this is the kind of stupidity and ignorance we are dealing with (PETA/ GREENPIECE etc).
These people are totally out of touch when it comes to reality, keep your head down cos we are on the wrong side of the law….

No all together:

NO MAM, I HAVE NEVER PUT A LIVE FURRY (insert animal) INTO MY SNAKE’S ENCLOSURE, THEY ARE ALL VEGITARIAN and live off will figs and carbon emissions of large industrialized countries…

They shot off all the fallow dear that were on Robben Island. They also killed off the wildebeest that once lived there. During the 1980's they shot many, many cats. These were sought after by the prisoners as an extra source of meat. There are still Chukka partridges on the island and they were introduced to be hunted. They were still there when I was there the last time. The rabbits have no natural predators and eat up all the vegetation the small antelope require and the cover that ground dwelling birds need to avoid predators.

Lol! Ok... What law are you referring to by the way? If it's SA law, this video was taken in Swaziland. So not applicable. :P If this video/thread's gonna start WW3 and genocides then go for it admin/moderator out there, lock it, delete it or whatever else you can do.

Yes hunter, it's 100% illegal. Just think of the cruelty issues and ethics.

Yup DK. That means it is indeed illegal.

One more reason for us all to stick to F/T.

It doesn't say anything about feeding? farming, and slaughtering is defently more in this act than feeding a mouse to a snake, its nature? I'm getting so sick of tree huggers, and human rights people! Its time they get a life! Alot of snakes point of life is to control rodent infestations!

When feeding a rodent to your snake, do you not:
i) terrify it?
ii) maim it?
111)torture it?
1v) ill-treat it?
v) confine it?

Hunter, remember, your snake isn't wild and isn't helping fight any rodent infestation. It's being fed captive bred rodents. We have to always remember, there are guys out there who love keeping rats, mice, rabbits, chicken etc.

How would you feel if a guy breeds Cape Cobras to feed to his meerkat colony? We have to put ourselves in other peoples shoes too and not be selfish.

What was supposed to be quoted was :

(g) ...... liberates any animal in such a manner or place as to expose it to immediate attack or danger of attack by other animals or by wild animals, or baits or provokes any animal or incites any animal to attack another animal; or
(h) liberates any bird in such a manner as to expose it to immediate attack or danger of attack by animals, wild animals or wild birds; or

This is where the legislation stands and there are too many people who do not understand that the law is not a suggestion, and non compliance is not an excuse just because you do not agree with it.
