Thanks Matty... Just hope someone can tell me if its a Red blood or a Borneo?! Will have a look in some books for scale counts?!

I love the red head on Rooikats blood!

lovely looking Blood you got there QUINTIN ,, by the looks of it bud it looks like you could have a Borneo there ,,don't hold me to it but according to the markings that's what I'm seeing ..
believe it or not but their head colours change from day by night too ,,very cool ..

you cant go wrong with a Blood Python MATTY ,they are cool snakes to have ..and when fully grown they are awsome ,,short but super fat and heavy ,,weighing anywhere up to 20 kgs ...

Sho 20kgs. That is a fat snake. I have seen some photos of really big ones, just makes me laugh.

Very nice Quintin. The albinos are amazing!

I have been meaning to get some updated pics but haven't got around to it. I have just fed them so not going to disturb them now. I will make a post on them shortly.

just a quick question guys. Can you give me the common names for each species and the scientific name just for reference please thanx.:) i just wanna get all the confusion out of my head and then i'll post some pics of my bloods.:) after this post i'm confused about the identification of the one species of blood i have.

Short-tailed pythons or Blood Pythons

Borneo - Python curtus breitensteini
Sumatran - Python curtus curtus AKA black blood python
Malaysian - Python curtus brongersmai AKA red blood python

Cool thanx, i just need a bit of clarification, i know i have a pair of sumatrans, the question is, is the other pair Borneo or malaysian.... Will sort out the pics probably tomorrow got to borrow a family members pc.:) wish i could do it with my phone!

I am starting to take pics of my bloods and was going to make my own post but maybe I should also just post them here. I just want my other blood to shed and then I will post them all.
