I dont own one but looks very much like a Red blood.

That could by some miracle be a normal blood python as they look quite simaliar.

Although I have no experience with these snakes, so dont bother on my oppinion.

I stand to be corrected......

You have three choices. It could be a black blood P. curtus (not likely) or Borneo short tail P. breitensteini which would have orange eyes with black pupils and a light yellow coloured head, or the Malaysian blood P. brongersmai which has some red markings in it as well and often has a dark head.

Scalation on P. breitensteini closely resembles P. brongersmai in that they both have Anterior Parietal in broad contact with the midline suture, were this does not occur with P. curtus. P. breitensteini almost always have one subocular scale over their eye and a percentage of granular scales between the eye and the supralabials. P. brongersmai has two supralabials and the others have a single supralabial. P. brongersmai also has more than 166 ventral scales where the other two have less than 166 ventral scales which is easy to count.

Go check your animals and then you will know.

If you are not sure which scales are which go look at http://www.anu.edu.au/BoZo/Scott/PDF%20 ... curtus.pdf
