I would love to know what it finds to eat there maybe it goes out into the garden to feed and then goes back inside during the day.

Wow. They are stunning. Try to get a male for it and offer them a permanent water source to lay eggs. That way the tadpoles can hatch in relative safety and you can release the toadlets in a protected area (if you know of one in the traditional range) as they undergo metamorphisis.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Bushviper down here on the Cape Flats we have destroyed most of the traditional range .The big problem is when the toads try and return to the ponds to mate then they are killed in large numbers by traffic when crossing roads.

This is pretty cool to see,
When i was down at the Two Oceans Aquarium they have this crazy animated/puppet type show about the leopard toads its really pretty awesome has anyone else seen it?
