Hi All :smt006

I would like to know if any of U guys / girls keep Mudskippers ? I know where to get but I can't find a decent Care Sheet.

If anyone can help me it would be appreciated

Mud skippers are brackish water fish and need around 5 – 7 grams of salt to 1 litre of water, you need a minimum of a 60 litre aquarium, you can use drift wood, Aquarium heater around 26 degrees, Internal filter around 300 l/ph, also you would need to have basic experience in tropical fish (Water changes etc), you can feed it crickets and treat the water with a proper anti-chlorine product. It is safest is to buy water and add salt.

Fantastic thanks a lot Urucone - what type of salt can I use ? Heater, pump , Tank , wood, rocks that I have - I saw in the petshop the guys a little piece of polystyrene in the tank for the skippers to jump on.

Polistirene is only used because if they lower the water level th tank get dull and it's easier(Temporary solution.
Don't know what salt I think you call it Iodated salt but in afrikaans it's called growwe sout.

As far as I know you need to use marine salt and its really expensive around here.

You can use marine salt but your not going to mix it as if it is for marines you're going to dilute the mixture with 1 part salt and 2 parts water, but normal iodated salt works just aswell.
