Hello everyone

I found this little guy yesterday in Natal.

My apologies for the amateur photos, I'm hoping to invest in a Canon 550D soon. And sorry for not posting the photos here, I tried but they just won't upload for some reason.

Regards

Awesome find Lutvo. Good luck with your photography ambitions. I have a Canon 550D and love it. Good value for money.
A Shangaan legend states that any man resting or sleeping in the shade of a baobab will become eccentric and forever be enslaved by Africa and its wilderness, guess it's too late for me.

Thanks a lot guys :).

Lekker Sfourie :), I know kfc223 also uses one. That's why I wanted to get one.

Imagine the photos I can take with that little bad boy ;).

My EOS 400D does the job just fine too. It's not about the size of the worm, it's how you wiggle it ;)

Them's a sexy couple o' frogs as well, cool stuff :)
Here's a few of the sme species that I found recently. Photos taken with my phone, so excuse the blur...

Haha I guess you are right Jo.

Very nice finds there aswell!

I actually found another one later that night, but my camera was not on me.

As far as I know there are striped, spotted, banded and plain Hyperolius marmoratus marmoratus?

I wanted to purchase the "A complete guide to Frogs of Southern Africa" but was short of the money, so I bought a Boa book instead. I think for my birthday I want the Canon and the book so I can learn, and take photos of the frogs that I find with the help of the book.

There's a much smaller book, "Frogs and Frogging in South Africa" which is also very useful, and also comes with a CD of frog calls... I use that one just as much as I use the Complete Guide, mainly for cross-referencing. But if you're short on cash, it's a much cheaper alternative :)

I also saw that one there, but I guess I figured the bigger one was better. I was going to take the "Frogs and frogging in South Africa" but that one didn't have the cd :(, maybe someone stole it? We never know...
