Giant African Bullfrogs

Postby Primogen » Mon Feb 24, 2014 11:51 am

So I just spent the weekend at friends place in Muldersdrift and they have a natural little pond that fills with rainwater during this time of the year
and the bullfrogs have been spawning in it.

So I sat and watched for a few hours and counted 3 adult males and at least a hundred froglets and loads more tadpoles.

Does anyone know if it is still possible to get Giant African Bullfrogs on permit and where from?, as I would really love to get one.
Any help appreciated?

Due to the fact that Bullfrogs are protected as TOPS animals getting a permit is not easy. You basically have to justify why they should let you keep a bullfrog.

Rather just keep returning to that pan and observe them there.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Those who are afraid to ask are ashamed of learning.
