Colin. I might be able to get some later in the year. I will let you know. The poison arrows are not only expensive and difficult to keep, but (if you manage to get hold of some) are also illegal :(

On the fruit fly subject: the guys at Monte casino apprently breed fruitflies, and over the weekend I spoke to a guy named Brian who runs the reptile and bird show at Retunga Junction in Cape Town he mentioend the he has bred them before but it sounded like a mission.

Thanks Anco. please keep me in mind

Fruit flies are some of the easiest insects there are to breed. You must just make sure that the food never dries out or let the food get mouldy.

You can get a type of fruit fly that cannot fly and this makes it so much easier to work with.

Anco has not kept herps for almost 4 years now. He got married and left the hobby. These frogs are found over large areas of South Africa but now is the wrong time of the year to look for them.

I'm desperately looking for a couple. They are not easy to obtain here in SA. Please direct me to someone who might be able to assist.

They love termites and do quite well in captivity.

Who else keeps them?

Hi there Bushbaby,
I've been searching for days to find a couple. with NO luck :smt005 . Could you direct me, please. Put me in touch with someone (who might know someone).
You're not perhaps selling, are you?
Anthony
PS: I'm preparing a Vivarium and if I really, really can't get DART / POISON ARROW FROGS, what other diurnal species are available in SA? Please help!

Hi there Anco,
Please put me in touch with someone (or with someone who might know someone). I've been trying for days to fund a couple of these little jewels.
Are you successfully breeding them yet?

I know you guys are curious but I don't know if anyone will reply as this thread is very old and the people who had these frogs at the tme might not have them anymore. If however they do still have I would be interested in finding out more.
